The modern architecture of public buildings and residential construction is increasingly characterised by very prominent window frame solutions. These large openings<\/strong>, often single-leaf<\/strong>, can be difficult to handle, either because of the large size <\/strong>of the opening<\/strong> or because of the design necessity to limit the opening for physical reasons<\/strong> (the presence of a block or other obstacle) or simply for safety reasons<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

EASY BLOCK<\/strong><\/a> is the complete range of restrictor arms<\/strong> by Master Italy that was created to meet this need and is suitable for every type of opening<\/strong>, tested and certified according to the directives of standard EN13126-5<\/strong>(Devices that restrict the opening of windows and door height windows).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Adjustable friction restrictor arm for tilt and turn and casement openings<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The line consists of a patented adjustable friction restrictor arm for tilt and turn and casement openings <\/strong>(Art. A1211 \u2013 A1212) compatible with the European groove, Slot 10 and R40 series. Its friction system brakes the free movement of the sash<\/strong>, both to prevent<\/strong> any accidental closure<\/strong> due to wind and for<\/strong> reasons of safety<\/strong> and opening comfort<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to this system, the sash opens up to 90\u00b0<\/strong>, a position in which the restrictor arm locks by using the action of a mechanical stop <\/strong>to support the adjustable friction<\/strong>, which prevents accidental closing. This arm matches perfectly with the entire WEEN tilt<\/strong> and turn<\/strong> programme and, in particular, with the new concealed hinges of the WEEN HIDE 180<\/strong> series, limiting the opening from 180\u00b0 to 90\u00b0 and taking advantage of the retainer incorporated in the hinge<\/strong>. This new arm allows for pressure adjustment with front access (patented)<\/strong>, simplifying adjustment operations regardless of sash type and size.<\/p>\n

Restrictor arm for handle-controlled casement opening that can be installed vertically for internal and external opening<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The new EASY BLOCK<\/a> range is further enriched with<\/strong> the restrictor arm for handle-controlled casement opening that can be installed vertically for internal and external opening <\/strong>(Art. A1211.30). It is an ambidextrous, frame-mounted<\/strong> restrictor arm with handle release and full opening<\/strong>. This arm is installed on the side upright of the frame (handle side) and, by rotating the handle<\/strong> in LOGIC mode by 90\u00b0<\/strong>, allows a limited casement opening<\/strong> (angle defined by the end stop of the lever).<\/p>\n

Instead, by rotating the handle by 180\u00b0<\/strong>, with the sash in the closed position, the arm disengages and the sash can be fully opened<\/strong>. To operate the release system, a handle with a logical opening key from the COMFORT, KARMA <\/strong>or ITALIA<\/strong> lines can be used, or a complete release of the sash can be achieved by removing a locking element from the arm.<\/p>\n

Restrictor arm for heavy casement frames<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Another important novelty is the introduction of a restrictor arm variant intended for application only on bottom hung openings for large load-bearing capacities and dimensions: the EASY BLOCK restrictor arm<\/strong> for heavy casement frames<\/strong> (Art. A1117\/17.1), tested for load-bearing capacities of up to 300 kg on CE profiles with a quick-release coupling system on the sash.<\/p>\n

Multi Stay Open Arm<\/em><\/strong>
\nAn absolute novelty in the restrictor arm market is the Multi Stay Open <\/strong>version (art. A1211.20\/21): this is a patented, friction-locked, handle-controllable restrictor arm <\/strong>that allows the sash <\/strong>to be stopped in any position, <\/strong>within an angle opening range between 0\u00b0 and 90\u00b0<\/strong>. The sash is stabilised by turning the handle into the closed position<\/strong>, activating the friction system <\/strong>and thus creating enough friction force to keep the sash in the desired<\/strong> position<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
